Pink Pour Baltic Birch Sketchbook

The cover of this notebook is made of baltic birch wood. The front panel is hand marbled with acrylic paints creating a unique, intricate design. Both front and back are cast in a clear resin, protecting them and giving the book a beautiful finish. The pages are bound by coptic stitch with deep teal cotton thread. The coptic binding allows the book to lay open flat, making it easy to write on every page. The paper is 240 pages of light weight drawing paper. The pages are separated into 6 signatures of 40 pages, each with a cover of black pastel paper. The paper holds up well with a large variety of dry mediums, making this an excellent sketchbook or journal.

All of my books are handmade from start to finish. I cut the paper, sand and paint the boards, pour the casting, sew the binding. I love the process of every step, and I love that in the end I've created something that will hopefully go on to be filled with some one else's art, ideas, and memories. I try to make every one of my books unique.
